Hello again from Brandknewday.com! They say knowledge is power but that only goes so far. Get into a fight with a boxer and we’ll see how far your knowledge goes. I suppose you could talk him out of the fight but I digress. Physical power aside, the more you know the better off you are in today’s society. The jobs of yester-year are evolving. People in today’s work force need a broader set of skills. While manual labor jobs like moving may not require more than physical strength I would add that if you own a moving company you may want to know how to market online or create a website for yourself. My point is having these skills can only be an advantage for you and your business.
So further education is a must if we want to grow in whatever field we may find ourselves working. The prospect of going back to school scares most people. I mean, can you recall the last time you had to sit in a classroom and listen to a teacher blabber on about math or philosophy? For me its been years. Thankfully there are more choices out there for people looking to further their knowledge. In recent years there has been a explosion of websites offering courses from the very academic (philosophy, calculus, etc…) to the more practical (graphic design, computer programming, etc…) These websites have re-invented how we can learn and how knowledge can be dispersed. Don’t want to have to sit in a classroom? You no longer have to, you can take classes in the comfort of your own home. The classes are pre-recorded most of the time so you can also learn at your own convenience.
I personally have had an interest in graphic design for some time and wanted to start learning how to use programs like Adobe Photoshop. My busy schedule would constantly make me have to push off taking the classes. It left me frustrated and unhappy. I did some research and found a couple of tutorials on one of these E-learning sites. I signed up and blocked out the 20 minutes or so I would need to watch the video and begin learning. This was a month ago and I have begun working on my ow projects via Photoshop. The ease of taking the class and the flexibility of being able to learn when I could allowed me to begin working on a passion of mine. This is just one example of how online courses have improved my life.
So if you’re looking to start a new hobby or get into a different field of work or even just trying to up your game in your current work situation, online courses can be a great way to get a move on. They are affordable and the array of choices are nearly endless. Get on the internet and start learning something new!
